Computer safety tips to reduce your risk

Friends of the Center - CDA Women's Center

Dear Friends,

The North Idaho Violence Prevention Center (NIVPC), formally The Women’s Center, Inc., was founded in North Idaho 34 years ago to assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Over time, this non-profit agency broadened programs and services to assist all victims of family violence.

Despite funding cutbacks and a softened economy, NIVPC provided services to thousands of victims during the past 6 months. Demands have been high, and service statistics
are staggering:
• Fielding 3,527 domestic-violence related hotline calls
• Assisting with 29 emergency protection orders
• Providing services to sexual assault victims, including
  65 women and 48 children
• Serving 5,466 meals
• Providing 1,822 bed nights in shelter

NIVPC is deeply committed to maintaining the critical services that make a difference in the lives of area victims –many of whom are your friends and neighbors.

For the second year in a row, the agency has tightened its belt and streamlined operations without compromising service levels. However, level funding has forced additional layoffs and further budget shortfalls. Your financial support is needed more than ever.

Funds contributed through this year’s Friends’ appeal will directly benefit the operating costs associated with our emergency shelter, our domestic violence and sexual assault programs, court advocacy, teen dating violence education, and community outreach.

It is TIME to put an end to family violence! And there is no better TIME for you to be a Friend to an agency that tackles this issue head-on. Please use the link below to make your tax-deductable donation today.
